As a new Mac and Final Cut Studio user I have immersed myself with all the programs the suite has to offer. Learning Final Cut Pro 6 has been fast and surprisingly easy. I should say the basics are easy to learn. I have found out there is a whole host of useful, time saving features that will enhance even the greatest editor?s workflow.

Today I share with you fast and effective ways to add video to your timeline to edit. Yes I was one of those ?click and drag your clips directly to the timeline? type of editors. In fact I did two features that way, and it worked just fine. It also added time dragging them into position, adding transitions, then moving them all to the right or left when I wanted to add or delete a shot. I want all that time back.

Fortunately, Final Cut Pro 6 offers extremely quick and simple ways to get your clips to the timeline fast and accurately. By learning a few simple techniques you will have time for more creative endeavors.

This year, instead of simply sending out recordings of the kids singing Christmas carols, or are your band playing its latest greatest hit, you might want to put it on one of Verbatim's Digital Vinyl CD-R discs. It looks like an old school 45 rpm record. Read More

    Flip Mino HD
The Flip Mino HD is an interesting proposition and great HD camera under specific scenarios. A couple weeks ago, I was able to review the Flip Mino in its standard definition format. The Flip Mino HD is like its SD sibling with the exception that it can record at 1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second and save as H.264. Read More
